I want to support you to have the best possible birth that is out there for you. We cannot control birth, but we can prepare for it. I will help you to get ready for your birth by providing information, emotional support and my full trust in that you can do it.
What makes a good birth? Being informed, supported and heard are the keys for it. As a doula, I want you to feel powered to make your own decisions. You are the star in your birth, own it! I provide support respecting your wishes and needs. I support you in Jyväskylä and the nearby regions, approx. 2h from Jyväskylä. Homebirths and hospital births (Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Mikkeli, Tampere). |
About Jasmin
Birth nerd and a lactation enthusiastic, mom of six. My youngest I can still babywear, older kids I have to look upwards. Life is full in many ways. As a parent I'm constantly evolving, growing alongside with the kids. Each baby changes family dynamics, challenges strength and coping. Each baby brings love and joy in our life.
Four of my kids were born in hospital. My youngest two I had at home with support from midwife and doula. Each birth has tought me something about my self, each birth has changed me. And thats exactly what birth is, a rite of passage.
Parenting is not always easy, I know. I have been dead tired, exhausted. Needed help and support. Reaching out and asking for help is strenght. I hope that everyone gets to be supported on their parenting journey. Especially during that great life changing time of expecting and birthing a baby I will walk beside you.

Choosing the person to support you is a big decision. You have to be absolutely sure, that whoever you invite into your birthing space, theyre the right ones. Before purchasing a doula package I'll meet you once, free of charge, so we can see if we are a good match.

Breastfeeding class
Breatfeeding starts right after babys birth, you can and should prepare for it during pregnancy. In this class we go through basic principles of breastfeeding and typical problems of the first days of postpartum. After class you have knowledge about breastfeeding, possible challenges and ways to help your baby at breast during first weeks.
Breastfeeding class is always just for you and it can be customized for your individual needs. Wether you already have a lactation experience behind you or not, you always benefit from this!

Breastfeeding support homevisit
Breastfeeding support for you at home. At this visit we focus uniquely on the very things troubling you. Help and support for the typical challenges of breastfeeding.

Elle TENS machine loan
Elle TENS is a drug-free pain relief. This can be used from early labour to the very birthmoment of your baby. Electrical pulses from a TENS machine prevent pain signals reaching the brain and release natural feel-good substances such as endorphins and oxytocin. Loan time is 4 weeks 38+0 - 42+0.

Celebration for new life
This is for you, expectant parent! In this party we focus on you, the upcoming birth and the fact that you are creating a new life. Together with loved ones we take a moment just for you, treating and pampering you. This celebration can be put together by the pregnant person or it can be a suprise from friends. Party is planned with the orderer. Guided moment approx. 2-3 hours.
